    Description

    Circa 1890 original antique cast iron Reading Hardware Co. rim lock with original keeper & key.   As found, untouched and in original finish showing wear spots and some light rust.  Mo
    unts on the surface of the door and lock measur
    es 4  3/4" high x 3  1/2" deep
    and is
    reversible
    .  Left hand visible side has Reading Hardware logo RHCo.  Back set to knob center is 2  5/8".  Keeper is 4  3/4" x 7/8" original finish with some white paint on the trim side edge.  Lock has a night latch on the back edge of the lock which allows you to lock the door knobs for privacy without using the keyed bolt.    Original key works well.  Purchase is for one rim lock, one keeper, and one key.
